Hitchhiker

Suzanne may recognize this little guy. He jumped in our luggage, but I had to hide him for fear I would offend real Irish people.

Website for photos

Ok, most of the family has seen the 200-something photos that Pat posted on shutterfly, but for those who haven't...
I guess you have to copy & paste this bad boy because I don't get how to publish a link, nor do I really care...

Hi folks, missin you already. Pat and I have had a wonderful time so far, but are too busy having a wonderful time to spend it on the internet... sorry for you, fun for us. Dublin was short, but full of Guinness. Newgrange, Monasterboice, County Cavan, Galway, Doolin, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands. We just completed a ferry tour to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands. Everything here is breathtaking. And green. And I don't have the camera cable to download pictures at the moment. We are safe and staying with a lovely lady named Maeve Fitzgerald in Doolin. Next, we're off to Dingle & the ring of Kerry... then onto Cork to eat "gourmet Irish food". Is that even a thing? Hope all is well at home. Love, us.

The Reilly Crest

So we're packing. The day is raining and we should probably be out in the weather, practicing for Ireland, but there's too much to do. Pat's family crest is shown here. I think the story goes, there was a boat race for the love of a maid. The first man's hand to touch the shore won the girl. The Reilly man was falling behind, so he chopped off his hand & threw it to shore, technically winning the race. Romantic, isn't it?

Well everyone else has a blog.

Ok, Shannon has entered the world of technology. Baby steps. Look for photos of the trip. We are leaving on Monday.
